الجغرافيا العسكرية وتطبيقاتها من منظور معاصر Military Geography and its Applications from a Contemporary Perspective

برزت الجغرافيا العسكرية بقوة بعد الحرب العالمية الثانية، وهي الفرع الذي يختص بدراسة العلاقات المكانية بين الجندي ومحيطه البيئي بإدارة جغرافية مسرح العمليات العسكرية، وما يتطلبه من دراسة لعناصره الأرضية والمناخية. يستعرض الكتاب، بصورة مفصلة، المرتكزات الأساسية لأسس الجغرافيا العسكرية الحديثة وتطبيقاتها من منظور معاصر، وتتجسد في ثلاثة محاور؛ هي التخصص المعرفي، والموضوعات المقررة، والتطبيقات الميدانية، مستنيرة باتجاهات الفكر الجغرافي الحديث؛ مستندةً إلى الكم الهائل في نظم المعلومات الجغرافية وبرمجياتها وتطبيقاتها الحديثة، فضلًا عن نظم الذكاء الاصطناعي في معالجة معضلات ميدان المعركة، من خلال خضوعها للمعايير الأكاديمية في المنهجية والمحتوى والمضمون؛ كونها علمًا وفنًا ومعرفة وتطبيقات. وهو أول كتاب عربي متخصص موجه إلى جميع الباحثين والأكاديميين والمعنيين بالشأن العسكري، يتصدى للتحديات الجغرافية الحديثة التي تجابه الأفراد والجيوش، أثناء انتقالهم في ساحة المعركة؛ من التغيرات المناخية، والأوبئة الفتاكة، وتحديات الذكاء الاصطناعي، وأنماطه العملياتية، وتطبيقاته لعقود قادمة، وذلك من واقع تجارب مؤلف الكتاب العملية، وتخصصه الأكاديمي.

Following World War II, there has been a growing interest and strong presence of Military Geography. The latter is the branch that focuses on the study of the relationships between soldiers and their environmental surroundings by managing the geography of military operations’ settings, and the required terrestrial and climatic factors. This book reviews in detail the foundations of modern military geography and its applications from a contemporary perspective, and is embodied in three axes: knowledge specialization, planned topics, and field applications. Those are informed by the trends of modern geographical thought, and based on the huge amount of geographic information systems, software and modern applications, as well as artificial intelligence systems in addressing the battlefield dilemmas, by submitting to academic standards in methodology, content ; being a science, art, knowledge and applications. It is the first specialized Arabic book directed to all researchers, academics, and those concerned with military affairs. It addresses modern geographic challenges facing individuals and armies, as they move on the battlefield from climate changes, deadly epidemics, and the challenges of artificial intelligence, its operational patterns, and its applications for years to come, and through the experiences of its author, and his academic specialization.
