Welcome to the Qatar University Testing Center IELTS Academic – paper-based registration site.

Test Date: 22 NOVEMBER 2025

You may register and take this test, if you want to study at undergraduate (bachelor) or graduate studies (masters or PhD) level at Qatar University.

We are testing only for QU students and for those joining QU in upcoming semesters. If you require IELTS for other purposes, immigration or visa, please visit  https://www.britishcouncil.qa/en/exam/ielts 

If you are under 18, you will need your parent or guardian to book the test for you. Please fill, sign and upload the IELTS minor form in order to complete your application.

Please note:

Candidates taking the test outside their own country must use a current passport. A passport is the only form of ID document accepted on the test day. The document must be valid /not expired at the time of registration and on the test day.

Qatari candidates can use valid/ not expired Qatar ID or passport. The type of ID used for registration should be available with the candidate on the test day also. Qatar Resident Permit is mandatory for all candidates to test in QU. 

Special Arrangements such as a visual, hearing or specific learning difficulty, mobility issues, which requires special arrangements: (for example, modified material, extra time, less time, wheel chair, use of technology, etc.) . If you require a modified version of the test  please contact the British Council  Qatar with at least three months' before your test date. This notice period is necessary for the modified test version to be prepared. If your circumstances require special administrative arrangements to be made, e.g. extra time, you must  contact them with at least six weeks' notice. You will need to provide a medical certificate issued within the last two years at the time of registration to the office.
